Holiday Card Giveaway from Minted.com

The lovely people at Minted.com sent me some of their card samples and I fell in card lust. I know that it’s not appropriate to covet material possessions, but the cards were of such fantastic quality, and ranged from the children’s adorable to chic and sophisticated that I couldn’t help it.

I don’t do cards, not really. I write emails, occasionally I’ll pick up the phone. But cards? I’m too busy. I’m not a note writer. What would I say? But as I looked at the cards, I realized that if I got them, the notes would come. I could leave the notes for my daughter, I could send a card to my college girlfriend who is now living in Prague. I could break out of the email-only mold and actually send a letter.

Sure, I could use regular lined paper, but I don’t want to. I’m not a student anymore and I want fancy stationary. Like this. Or this. (By the way, am I the only one who doesn’t have some flowers resting on my desk when I sit down to write?)

And then there is the Minted.com holiday card collection. It’s almost enough to make me send my cards out on time this year. What? I know that I’m not the only one who thinks “well, if it gets there for New Year’s, it’s not   late. Ok, maybe Chinese New Year.”   You choose the paper and the format and the message.   And the photograph, too.

And Minted.com wants to give you some of their gorgeous holiday cards! To enter our giveaway, check out   the holiday card collection and then leave us a comment, telling us which card caught your eye. We will pick a winner on Friday, November 13th. The winner will receive $75 credit towards an order (which is like getting 25 flat cards for free, shipping included!).   The credit code is valid until December 1, 2009.   For extra entries, tweet the link to this giveaway (be sure to mention @MouthyHousewife in the tweet). Good luck!

I must say, many of them caught my eye, but I would probably order Mistletoe Wreath.

So many choices! But I’d have to get the ‘On Dasher’ one since I like deer… 😉

I am pretty in love with the Peace Love Bop cards.

I’ve already got the Candy Tree photo card saved. I just need a photo of my family and I need to win this giveaway.

Me likey the Peace, Love & Bop card, since we’re a bunch of music freaks around here. One problem is we’ve never had a photo all together…this would have to be corrected. Or at least Photoshopped.

i like the winter chic holiday photo cards. maybe our family can look classier than it actually is for a change…

I think I love them all! If I have to choose though it would either be “Citrus Snowflake” or “Snowflake Window”. Really, all I saw were outstanding! BTW Nov. 13th is my Birthday!

Comment by Sheila.

They are all amazing but I really like the Holiday Nostalgia Holiday Photo Cards.

Comment by Reiven.

I like the holiday polka dot picture frame card. I’d like to put a picture of me and my dog in it, but someone stole him in April. People suck.

Comment by Jennifer.

I am getting married in a little over 2 weeks AND these cards are perfect for our announcement/Holiday Card.

I will be moving to the UK with my soon to be husband and I LOVED snowflake frame and it would be just perfect to mail out.

they’re all so cute! i’m not sure i would be able to choose. i might have to let my 7 year old (8 in 3 days *tear*) help me decide which one to go with so we don’t have “lame” holiday cards. i would probably pick “feliz holiday”, and he would probably pick “peace, love, and bop”.

Comment by Roshni.

I loved Citrus Snowflake!

Snowflake Tree Holiday Photo Cards – in brown and blue = love that!

Comment by Vicki.

I could really use some free cards to celebrate the Jewish penurious spirit of Chanukah. Maybe like these: http://www.minted.com/customizer/sku/MIN-FAP-HYC Only I don’t have two smiling children, although on the other hand, I might just send my mom this card and let her know about our secret offspring.

Truly loving the Holiday Nostalgia Holiday Photo Cards. Gorgeous.

Comment by Swistle.

I liked Candy Tree, Organic Ornament, Winter Berries, Citrus Snowflake, Partridge in a Pear Tree, Simple Snowflake, Modern Bird—it was really hard to choose. Does it break the contest rules to list a bunch? In that case I’d go with Candy Tree, because that’s the one that made me startle my eyes wider.

Snowflake whimsy, though so many are great!

Comment by Crazymom.

Ok, so I can only pick one?!?!? Seeing as how I’m not Jewish I suppose “Euphoric Hanukkah” cannot be my favorite?!?! So I will settle on the “Warm Berries”… A black and white of my babies would compliment the card quite well!!! However, I do love their modern take on the traditional cards!

Comment by Anna.

I love the red Twilight Stars card!
